Urla–Karaburun Coast Tour
Quiet coves, olive groves and local meze.
An hour from İzmir lies the peninsula's calmest face: Urla's vineyards and Karaburun's untouched coves. This route is designed for an escape that fits into a weekend but lingers on the palate.
Urla — vineyards and the art street
Start with coffee on Urla's art street, then a tasting lunch at one of the producers on the vineyard route. In the afternoon, a sunset walk along the Çeşmealtı shore; in the evening, wild-herb dishes and meze at the pier restaurants.
Karaburun — coves and villages
Leave early and cross to Karaburun via Mordoğan. Scenic terraces line the road; stop for a swim at Ayıbalığı or Eğriliman cove at noon. In the afternoon, the Sarpıncık lighthouse and stone villages; fresh fish in central Karaburun for dinner.
The return — Barbaros and gifts
On the way back, visit the toy museum and have a village breakfast in Barbaros. Close the route with olive oil, artichoke preserves and mastic products from the Urla market.
